A Brief Update

At a low point mentally and emotionally – hopefully it will pass soon. In the meantime, I’m writing a Nature Boy/Nature Girl story. Not sure it’ll go anywhere but it’s keeping me busy until I get a real idea.

Currently reading The Scarlet Gospels by Clive Barker. It’s okay so far but I’m only about thirty pages in.

No new reviews of The Sword of Hel or Lazarus Gray Volume Ten though LG has now gotten three ratings and is currently sitting at 4.75 out of 5 stars. Not bad.

  1. Just finished Lazarus Gray Vol. 10. And left a review. It is a very mixed review. The first story The Heroes in Satan’s Lair was horrible. Did someone try to imitate you? You really don’t care about any of the characters. Story line was boring, a big sin in writing.

Thankfully Lazarus at War was very good. It save the book and makes me really looking forward to the next one. The best line in the book was, Samantha sighed, “Are we really getting so old that we are fighting our enemies kid’s now?” That what I would like to read more of. Flesh out the characters a little more. I know you can do it, I have read quite a few of your books, like all the Lazarus, Peregrine, The Gravedigger and a few others I haven’t gotten to.

Hopefully you will get out of your slump,

I have the Sword of Hel. I am scared to read it. I think I just read Babylon instead I like the character.

  2. Thanks for the comments – sorry you didn’t like story featuring The Heroes. It was written for an anthology that got canceled and Pro Se decided to stick it in the front of this volume. I kind of hate that the book starts with a lengthy story that doesn’t feature Lazarus Gray but it is what it is. I actually thought the story was a fun one and I like the various characters a lot.

Glad you enjoyed the bulk of volume ten better than the first story. It had some really good parts, I thought, and I’m glad that you agree.
