Background:
Charity Grace had been a down-on-her-luck thief before she’d broken into the home of Josef Goldstein. She’d died that night, shot by Goldstein himself… but she’d been revived in her own coffin, awakened by the mysterious Voice. It had offered her a second chance at life but only if she would agree to be its servant on earth, striking down all those who would prey upon the innocent. She was given three years before she would be judged again. If she washed away the sins that weighed upon her soul, she would be freed of her burden. But if she were found wanting, eternal damnation awaited. After accepting this cursed bargain, Charity found that she had inherited the muscle memory of all those that had come before her — she was now faster, stronger, and more capable than ever before.
Aided by a team of agents – Mitchell Williams, Cedric Hendry, Li Yuchun, and Mortimer Quinn – and based out of the haunted Hendry Hall, the Gravedigger became unleashing a violent and bloody tale of retribution all across Sovereign City. In the end, her soul was redeemed and her time as Gravedigger came to an end. If you’re playing Charity after her three years’ as Gravedigger, lower her Prowess and Coordination to 4 each and her Strength to 3. This also reduces her Stamina to 9.
Though there are a few known cases of her putting on the hood and uniform after her tenure ended, for the most part she became a plainclothes agent of Assistance Unlimited when it went international.
