Background

Meridian Mychaels was a self-defense instructor at Grant’s Gym who became a member of Primal Force (another name for the Leymen, a group that throughout history has arisen to defend the planet from mystical threats) following the Zero Hour event. Born with a rare sensitivity to the Earth’s ley lines—mystical pathways that crisscross the globe—Meridian grew up sensing energies and phenomena that others could not perceive. This connection marked her as different from a young age, and she was often dismissed or misunderstood by those around her.

Initially, Dr. Mist (the leader of the Leymen) refused to acknowledge that Meridian had been summoned to help defend the earth from mystical threats as no woman had ever been called before. Meridian refused to back down and the more resistant Mist became, the more determined she was to prove him wrong.

Meridian was the unnamed leader of Primal Force and provided a steadying hand amongst a group of disparate personalities. The team eventually drifted apart but they remain ready to defend the planet from supernatural threats.
