Background

Norgil the Magician was a talented stage magician who used his skill at sleight of hand and other skills of prestidigitation to capture crooks. All in all, he appeared in 23 short stories which were originally published in the pages of Crime Busters & Mystery magazines in the late 1930s & 1940. He was created by Walter Gibson, famed creator of The Shadow, writing under his pseudonym of Maxwell Grant.
