Background

Chloe Foster had been orphaned at the age of thirteen, her parents slain by one of Cat-Man’s most bloodthirsty enemies. Realizing that the young girl’s thirst for vengeance might overwhelm her, Cat-Man offered to train her to be his partner. She was adopted by Cat-Man in his identity of David Merryweather and spent much of the next two years undergoing extensive training. While David initially wanted her to become the new Kitten (the identity used by Katie Conn when she worked alongside Cat-Man), Chloe eventually decided to call herself Mouser, feeling that Kitten was both silly and a bit sexist. She received Katie’s blessing and currently works as Cat-Man’s sidekick, occasionally teaming up with Katie (now known as Grimalkin), as well. Chloe is spunky and exciteable, with great gymnastic abilities – she has extreme confidence in herself and her partner, sometimes to a dangerous degree.

Note: While Kitten is in the public domain, the version of Katie Conn that became Grimalkin is not — and neither is Chloe Foster, aka Mouser. Art is by Lee Gaston and was commissioned by me.
