For years, I’ve been deep in the trenches of storytelling—writing novels, building shared universes, teaching English, and helping students and fellow writers sharpen their voices. Over time, one thing has become increasingly clear: I love helping writers translate their ideas into reality.
Because of that, I’m officially opening up limited availability for fiction editing and story consulting.
What I Specialize In
My focus is on genre fiction, especially stories that prize momentum, atmosphere, and character:
- Pulp adventure
- Horror (supernatural, cosmic, folk, and pulp horror)
- Science fiction
- Weird fiction
- Superhero and shared-universe storytelling
- Noir and dark fantasy
If your work leans toward high concept, strong voice, vivid imagery, or classic pulp energy, we’ll likely be a good fit.
How I Can Help
Depending on what you need, I offer:
- Developmental feedback
Big-picture notes on plot, structure, pacing, stakes, and theme. - Line and prose feedback
Sentence-level clarity, rhythm, voice consistency, and tightening without flattening your style. - Story consulting & coaching
Brainstorming, outlining help, problem-solving stubborn story issues, or figuring out why something isn’t working yet. - Beta reads with actionable notes
Honest, thoughtful reactions paired with specific guidance—not vague “this didn’t work for me” commentary.
I approach every project with the same mindset I bring to my own work and my classroom: respect the writer’s voice, understand the intent of the story, and help it hit harder without sanding off what makes it unique.
Why Work With Me?
- I’m an active, published fiction writer—not just an editor in theory.
- I teach English, so I’m trained to explain why something works or doesn’t.
- I understand pulp pacing, genre expectations, and reader psychology.
- I don’t try to turn your story into my story.
My goal isn’t to “correct” your work—it’s to help you make it sharper, stronger, and more confident.
Rates & Availability
Because every project is different, rates depend on word count, depth of feedback, and turnaround time. I’m happy to discuss options and find something that makes sense for both of us.
