Over on Goodreads.com, reader Ray Bara has posted his opinion of the newest Lazarus Gray novel. Let’s see what he had to say:
I thought Lazarus Gray Volume 8 was pretty good, but Volume 9 blew it out of the water. Here is a partial list of some of the many crazy aspects Barry Reese added to this story: Norse gods, the death of a long-time character, the savage shooting of another series character, the “pairing” of recurring characters Bushido and Golden Amazon, the Cthulhu mythos, a hollow earth civilization, and the introduction of public domain character Fighting Yank to the cast. All this, alongside the usual action-packed adventure we’ve come to enjoy from Lazarus Gray and Assistance Unlimited, make for a great read and leave my mouth watering for volume 10. My only complaint is the horrid editing in the Kindle version. Nonetheless, this is one of the best, if not the best, Lazarus Gray volume to date. Great job, Barry!
You know, when you list all the various elements like that, it does seem pretty crazy, doesn’t it? I had a ton of fun writing the ninth book and it’s one of my personal favorites so I’m glad that you seemed to really enjoy it. Sorry you didn’t think the editing in the Kindle version was up to snuff – was it formatting issues or grammatical?
