A New Gravedigger Review!

gravedigger_cover_low_res_cropped_with_copyPat Casey posted a new review of The Adventures of Gravedigger Volume One on Amazon.com and he gave it 5 stars out of 5! Here’s what he had to say:

Gravedigger vol. 1 is a welcome addition to the Reese Unlimited Universe & The Sovereign City project.

Charity Grace is the latest to carry the Gravedigger mantle(as well as the first female)and has 3 years to prove herself worthy to “The Voice.” Her reward for redemption is continued life on earth. The consequence being eternal damnation.

We learn more about the history of Sovereign City in this volume. Mr. Reese has successfully incorporated many elements of Washington Irving’s
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” into the history of Sovereign City. (It was a bonus to have the Headless Horseman interact with pulp style gangsters. Nice twist!)

We also see The Rook & Lazarus Gray make an appearance in this first volume. Gravedigger meets/works with the heavy hitters of Sovereign City. All three characters will be headlining Mr. Reese’s crossover novel Götterdämmerung.

The beautiful cover art by George Sellas and B/W interior art by Will Meugniot are the bow on a nicely packaged dose of pulp action!

I highly recommend it!

Thanks, Pat! I’m so glad you enjoyed it — and I think you’ll really like Charity’s roles in both volume two and in Götterdämmerung!
