The Next Few Months….

rook_v2_cover_mock_up_smallI’m still basking in the glow of the Pulp Ark Awards – thanks again to all who voted and congratulations to all the winners!

We finally have a firm release schedule for upcoming books! Strap yourselves in, kids, ’cause you’re in for a bumpy ride!

Here’s what you can expect from the House of Reese over the next few months:

March 2013
Gravedigger Volume One – This new heroine is set in Sovereign City, alongside my Lazarus Gray series. In fact, she’s directly related to a member of Assistance Unlimited! Charity Grace is a wild child, a young woman who does whatever it takes to stay alive on the mean streets of Sovereign… but one night, she attempts to break into the wrong house and everything changes! Hovering between life and death, she’s given a powerful choice — return to the world of the living, with the provision that she has just two years to redeem her soul, or be cast straight into Hell! Can Charity find out what it means to be a hero before her time is up? Features a stunning cover by George Sellas and interior illustrations from Will Meugniot!

April 2013
The Rook Volume Two Special Edition – Coming back into print, this second volume of The Rook Chronicles introduces us to Leonid Kaslov (the “Russian Doc Savage”) and further the feud between our hero & The Warlike Manchu. Plus: the dangerous debut of Rasputin! Featuring a brand-new cover and interior art by George Sellas, this book is also completely re-edited from its original Wild Cat Books release.

The Avenger: Roaring Heart of the Crucible – Another volume of stories starring pulp’s classic crime-fighter! My story in this one (“The Box of Flesh”) is directly related to my Pulp Ark Award-winning story from the last volume! The Avenger is right up there with The Shadow as my favorite pulp hero so getting a chance to write him once was a dream come true — the opportunity to do it twice was simply awe-inspiring. Published by Moonstone Books.

May 2013
The Adventures of Lazarus Gray Volume Three: Eidolon – The middle chapter of the sprawling epic that will end in Volume Four, this book features two stories, both guaranteed to shock you. In the first, Lazarus Gray and Assistance Unlimited find themselves confronted by an old foe… but he’s not returning alone. Introducing Murder Unlimited! In the second story, one member of the team falls under the sway of the mysterious figure known as The Darkling and they’re transformed forever! Plus: Another member of the team faces death in the swamps… and they may not make it out alive! Features a cover and interior illustrations from George Sellas. This will follow up on the book that won Best Novel, Best Cover and Best Interior Art in the 2013 Pulp Ark Awards!

The next few months look like they’re going to be packed with pulpy goodness, folks. I really hope you enjoy it all!
